TRAD UK LAUNCHES NEW CHARITY CAMPAIGN, SUPPORTING EPILEPSY ACTION
TRAD UK’s 2026-27 campaign to raise money for charity that supports Leeds depot employee.
TRAD UK has announced that its next charity campaign will support Epilepsy Action, a national charity that supports the 630,000 people and their families who are living with or affected by epilepsy in the UK.
TRAD often chooses to partner with charities that have already had a direct impact on the lives of its employees – recent campaigns have supported Parkinson’s UK and Duchenne UK.
Epilepsy Action has been chosen for the latest campaign as a result of the meaningful impact the charity has had on their employees and families, including Rosie Sherburn, a Senior Administrator at the company’s Leeds depot.
Last year, Rosie and the Leeds team were awarded the Epilepsy Action Epilepsy Star Award because of the way that the depot has supported Rosie with her epilepsy since she started working there.
“When I began working, as someone with epilepsy, I was so nervous about getting the support I need. I didn’t really know what to expect,” says Rosie.
“I started working at TRAD UK five years ago in an admin role. From the beginning, they never judged me in any way and were happy to support me in the role.”
“The team has made so many adjustments for me, and they always check I’m doing okay. If I need extra breaks, or a bit of time away from the computer, they are happy to do this. If I am feeling unwell or just want to talk to someone regarding my epilepsy, they are always there for me.”
“I have an Epilepsy Action plan I keep on my desk, so if I do have a seizure, they know what to do. They know what the signs are if I’m about to have a seizure, and if I’m looking unwell, they’ll check if I’ve taken my medication.”
It’s this dedication to supporting Rosie, and other staff and their families who are also living with an epilepsy diagnosis that has led TRAD to support the charity over the coming year.
“Rosie is a shining example of courage at work,” says Colin Dobson, MD at TRAD UK. “It’s been wonderful to see how the Leeds team have supported her since she started working with us, and it’s through information and support from Epilepsy Action that the team – and Rosie – have all felt confident to manage her health issues in the workplace.”
“It seems obvious to us that a campaign to raise money and awareness of Epilepsy Action is the next step for TRAD UK. As always, we hope to exceed our fundraising target of £7,500, and we’re excited to see what events and activities the whole TRAD team take on this year!”
Charlotte Stern, corporate partnerships manager at Epilepsy Action, said “We’re thrilled that TRAD UK have chosen us as their 2026/7 charity of the year. The amazing funds raised will go directly to our work supporting people with epilepsy across the country with our life-changing services, as well as helping us to tackle stigma and misconceptions through our ongoing public awareness campaigns. Just £27 alone can fund a day of enquires to our support line.”
“It brings us so much pride to hear that Epilepsy Action have been able to support Rosie throughout her journey with epilepsy as well as helping her to thrive in the workplace. We’re so pleased our resources helped to educate the team at TRAD UK on how to make sure Rosie is safe at work, and we hope other employers are inspired to do the same.”
“We’d like to say a big thank you to Rosie and all the team at TRAD UK for choosing us and look forward to working with the team throughout the year.”

What is ISO 37001?
ISO 37001 is a standard dedicated to establishing, implementing, maintaining, and improving an anti-bribery management system. This standard offers requirements and guidance for setting up systems designed to help organizations prevent, detect, and respond to bribery, as well as comply with anti-bribery laws and voluntary commitments applicable to their activities. It covers various forms of bribery (direct and indirect) within public, private, and not-for-profit sectors.
Why is ISO 37001 important?
Bribery is a pervasive issue that undermines societal, economic, and political structures, leading to injustice, distorted competition, and increased operational costs among other severe implications. ISO 37001 is critical as it provides organizations with a systematic approach to combat bribery. This approach is not only about legal compliance but also about fostering a culture of integrity, transparency, and trust within organizations. By implementing an anti-bribery management system, organizations can mitigate risks and damage associated with bribery, enhance their reputation, and ensure stable and fair market operations.
