TRADGUARD Temporary Mesh Edge Protection; this barrier system is a highly versatile proprietary edge protection solution which is fully compliant to BS EN 13374 Class A. The system is suitable for nearly all types of construction; including reinforced concrete, structural steel, timber frame and civil engineering applications. Since the system’s launch in 2014 it has been utilised on a number of high profile projects across various sectors.
The core component of the system is the TRADGUARD Mesh Barrier. A mesh panel, 1.2m high, with an integral toe-board that provides compliant BS EN 13374 Class A edge protection; the standard size barrier is 2.6m long and is one of the lightest barriers on the market, giving ease of manual handling and a single person lift.
The barriers are supported by aluminium posts which connect to a variety of different socket attachments for different applications. This light yet robust system can be connected to almost any suitable base material using one of the many different attachments available.
When a greater edge protection height is required, the addition of the TRADGUARD Make-up Barrier can be utilised which is an additional mesh panel that increases the total height to 1.9m.
