TRAD Lift Shaft Gate – the ultimate safety solution for multi-story construction projects! Our Lift Shaft Gate provides edge protection and multiple containment options for lift shaft openings, making it a reliable safety solution for one of the most dangerous areas of any construction project.
Our MK 2 Lift Shaft Gate is designed to fit a standard 1.2m lift shaft opening, with panels of various sizes that can be fitted to the sides to increase coverage for larger lift shaft openings. This ensures that the Lift Shaft Gate fits perfectly and is easily extendable, making it a versatile safety solution for any construction project. In addition to the side closure fixing panel we also have 450mm, 600mm and 1000mm side panels available.
With face fixing options, recessed fixing options, and stepped out gate enclosure systems for versatility, The MK 2 Gate is fully compliant with BS EN 13374:2013+A1:2018 Class A and BS 7255:2012, ensuring that it meets the highest safety standards. The Gate is designed to provide superior leading-edge protection, making it the safest solution for your multi-story construction project.
Made of strong and durable aluminium, our gate can be easily installed by two operatives working within manual handling regulations. Our lightweight 30kg aluminium design boasts a double ‘stable gate’, allowing the top half of the gate to open independently, while still providing leading-edge protection.
In addition to the MK 2 Gate, the MK 1 TRAD Lift Shaft Gate also provides edge protection which is fully compliant with BS EN 13374 Class A, and the 30kg aluminium design allows easy installation by just two operatives working within the manual handling regulations.
Like its younger sibling, the MK1 Gate boasts a double ‘stable gate’ so the top half of the gate opens independently. This allows access whilst still providing edge protection. Both the top and bottom gate can be locked with padlocks when access is not required. The MK1 Gate fits a standard 1.2m lift shaft opening, for larger lift shaft openings mesh panels are fitted to the sides to increase coverage.
